Request for Proposals: cSPACE King Edward Anchor Tenants
- Posted by Lindsay Bowman on August 7th, 2012
cSPACE was established in 2011 by Calgary Arts Development in partnership with The Calgary Foundation to develop a network of affordable, sustainable and collaborative workspaces across Calgary. cSPACE is currently accepting proposals from non-profit or charitable organizations interested in becoming Anchor Tenants within our flagship project, cSPACE King Edward.
As the Anchor Tenants, the ideal respondents will already be established incubators of Calgary’s artists, social entrepreneurs and/or emerging non-profits. The successful respondents will bring their existing networks, capacity-building expertise, resources and vision to maximize cSPACE King Edward as a unique platform for delivering multi-disciplinary, cross-sector incubation programs. In particular, cSPACE is looking for organizations interested in collaborating on designing and delivering a focused program of entrepreneurship supports to the cultural/creative sector.
In this Request for Proposals - Anchor Tenants, cSPACE is seeking tenants that require multi-year leases (5 years or more) and larger floorplates (over 750 s.f.) but also require a diverse range of spaces to deliver programming for both the public and the cultural/creative sector. These may include a mix of office, exhibition, rehearsal, performance, workshop, production, studio, conference, and meeting spaces that can be accommodated throughout the site. cSPACE is in the design development stage of the project and it is intended that successful Anchor Tenants will have the opportunity to provide input into the design of shared spaces throughout the building as well as co-design their own leased areas.
Deadline is Friday, September 14th, 2012 at 4pm.
