We are seeking a talented, enthusiastic Social Media and Website Coordinator to join our team. This position is not “just a job,” but an opportunity for someone who is passionate about taking social media channels to new heights to engage audiences with the arts. We are looking for a professional who can juggle many projects and tasks at once, and whose energy is fuelled by unique challenges and the desire to grow his/her career.
This full-time position reports to the Communications Manager, and provides support to both staff and management teams. General duties include:
•Research, develop, advise and implement social media strategies and plans, providing recommendations based on regular reporting, audience response and market opportunities
•Act as primary user/responder on EPCOR CENTRE’s social media channels, actively engaging people in conversations about music, visual and media arts, programs, resident companies, arts activities and other events at EPCOR CENTRE and in our community
•Create and implement PPC and/or other online campaigns, and process settlements
•Coordinate EPCOR CENTRE website development projects with external agency and internal stakeholders
•Update and publish EPCOR CENTRE’s website content, working closely with marketing, EPCOR CENTRE Box Office, IT, other
internal departments and resident companies, reporting and recording any functionality or other issues
•Create and distribute electronic newsletter
•Maintain online listings, display boards, display case content and archives
•Coordinate distribution of Stephen magazine, posters and other mailouts and materials.
Applicants should have an applicable degree or diploma in marketing, communications or journalism as well as 3-4 years experience. The successful candidate is passionate about engaging audiences in the arts, has strong written and organizational skills and great attention to detail.
Required: Experience and knowledge using Twitter, Facebook, Vimeo, YouTube, blogging platforms, HTML, CMS, MS Word and Excel. Adobe Photoshop and InDesign are assets.
This position has a 40-hour work week. Some attendance of evening and weekend events is required. A competitive compensation package, including extended health benefits, is offered.
