Calgary Arts Development this week released a snapshot of data collected from over 160 arts organizations in Calgary. The stories behind the data show an increasingly strong and vibrant arts sector whose benefits can be seen throughout the city.

Based on information provided in CADA's 2009 Operating Grant Program cycle, the data shows how dollars invested in arts organizations translate into multiple and diverse opportunities for citizens to actively engage as participants, audience members, volunteers, employees and artists within their communities and the city at large. The data shows conclusively that by investing in arts organizations, citizens are contributing to the city's economic and social well-being and its overall vibrancy.
