2012 Sun and Salsa Festival - Lunchbox Booths - Volunteers Needed 2pm to 5pm

Thanks to all who said hello at the East Village Street Festival on Canada Day! We totally lucked out with the weather and it was a fantastic day.

Our third booth of the summer will be at the Sun And Salsa Festival in Kensington on July 22 (Sunday), 11am to 5pm, on 10th street and Kensington Road (specific booth details will be provided to volunteers before the event). If you can help out or have questions, please get in touch at boxoffice@lunchboxtheatre.com or 403-265-4292. We still need volunteers for the 2pm to 5pm shift!

If you would like to help but can't commit to four hours or your availability doesn't match up with a shift, we'd still love to have you! Let us know when you can be there.

Volunteer Duties

• Say hello to festival attendees and hand out brochures
• Encourage attendees to enter a draw for a 12/13 PlayPass
• Answer questions about Lunchbox
• Encourage people to participate in our activity, which is hearing from them how they take back their lunch hours.

At least one volunteer must be up handing out brochures at all times, but you can spell off for breaks (to see the festival, get some food or rest) or if you need to sit down.

Dress for the weather - whatever that turns out to be! The event will happen rain or shine, and we do have a tent and a couple of chairs (for breaks). Bring your hats, umbrellas, sunscreen, water bottles, snacks, etc.

Lunchbox staff will be taking care of set up and take down, and will be available by phone at all times if you have any questions during the day.

We need 2-3 volunteers for the 2pm to 5pm shift.

Upcoming Festivals
Saturday, August 4. Inglewood Sunfest. 11am to 5pm. Shifts: 2pm to 5pm. (along 9th ave SE in Inglewood) (the morning shift has ample volunteer coverage but the afternoon shift does not)
Sunday August 12. Marda Gras. 10am to 5pm. Shifts: 10am to 1:30pm, 1:30pm to 5pm. (along 33rd avenue SW) (volunteers needed for both shifts)
